Challenge
People practising spiritual journaling, recording dreams, meditations and insights as they happen, were stuck using generic note apps with no support for voice transcription, no sharing built for a trusted circle, and no sense of the natural cycles the practice actually follows.
Approach
We built a journaling app specifically for this practice rather than adapting a generic notes app, with voice transcription so an insight can be captured the moment it happens, lunar phase tracking woven through the experience rather than added as a widget, and private sharing for a trusted circle. Built in FlutterFlow with Firebase for accounts, storage and speech-to-text.
What we built
- Voice transcription for capturing dreams, meditations and insights in the moment
- Lunar phase tracking tied to each entry, not a separate calendar screen
- Private sharing with a trusted circle, built around consent rather than public-by-default
- A searchable transcript history, organised by date and moon phase
Outcome
Sacred Diary is live on the App Store and Google Play, offering features no general-purpose journaling competitor builds for. The client owns the app and its accounts outright.
